The snowy New South Whales festival Snowtunes is back once again this year with an absolutely massive lineup to warm you up in the icy surrounds of Jindabyne. Over two nights and two stages in Jindabyne this September, the lineup is lead by local legends Gang of Youths, SAFIA & DZ Deathrays backed by a killer roll call of the coolest kids around.
I’m always hard pressed to not just scream and gesticulate wildly into the void when it comes to Gang of Youths. I keep waiting for the Sydney band to release music that just makes me shrug and place it in the “good not great” box in my brain, but it never happens. Whether it’s the soft spot in my heart for them or the undeniable fact that they are a truly remarkable band, I woke up this morning to find that they have continued their unbroken streak of fantastic music with their latest release Atlas Drowned.
