FIVE FROM HOME | FEKI

Brisbane producer Feki’s latest release is Love You Better, the chilltronica track that you never knew you needed, and highlighting Feki’s production chops and Glade’s distinctive vocal style. We had a chat about where home is for Feki, and some of the acts to keep an eye out for.

For Feki, it’s home is best described in there being “no other city in Australia that I would rather live in other than my hometown of Brisbane. When I first started making music, moving to either Melbourne and Sydney definitely did cross my mind just because at the time those cities had a more vibrant music scene. Fast forward 3 or so years and Brisbane has now developed into a breeding ground of amazing artists. So I’m glad I didn’t leave and to be honest, I probably never will haha.”

AUSTEN

My manager actually put me onto Austen just before she released her first song ‘Faded’ about a year ago and I instantly fell in love with her voice. Her song ‘Storm’ is an absolute tune and I’m really excited to have her support me at my Brisbane show on the 23rd of November. She’s definitely one to watch.

GOLDEN VESSEL

My boy GV. This dude actually went to high school with one of my cousins and I remember this guy sliding into my DMs to talk all things music back when he was in year 12 haha. He’s now turned into one of my closest friends and his music is just supreme. Love everything this kid does.

ANH

Another homie that is on the up and up. It’s crazy how far his music has developed in such a short time. He only started producing about a year ago and I’m already mesmerised with his sense of rhythm and musicality. His unreleased stuff is straight up amazing. Big tings to come.

AKUREI

This guy makes some real ethereal music with his smooth vocals and songwriting. His latest song, ‘Floating’ w/ Nico Ghost is one that is perfect for those late night drives. Definitely someone to keep your eye on. Don’t sleep on him.

EMERSON LEIF

This guy is so low key but has already featured on some big tunes. I really loved his songwriting and vocal style on Say Nothing by MUTO. Such a unique sound that he’s able to bring with his vocal work. Also his next tune one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. So definitely do not sleep on this man.
