Brisbane wunderkind producer Young Franco has been making waves with his dance pop beats, clocking in millions of Spotify plays for his summery, party-ready tunes which are both instrumentally and lyrically complex. We chat to him about what music he loves from his hometown of Brisbane.

Brisbane is generally not known as a hub of creativity next to its big brothers Sydney and Melbourne. But what’s coming out of Brisbane right now is some of the most impressive electronic music not just in Australia, but around the world. It’s getting more and more exciting to live in Brisbane culturally and it’s great to see. Here’s some of the people I think are leading the way.

Max supported me and UV boi on the Brisbane leg of our tour in January. His music is amazing and is such a lovely guy. When this film clip came out I watched it a billion times. Tune!

Mallrat is going to be the biggest thing to come out of Bris/Australia since the Bee Gees. Everything she does is so exciting and different and I wish I was as cool as her 😤😤😤

UV continues to steal my heart 😤

Feki’s new track is 10000% his best one yet. The wait was worthwhile. Super polished production and he’s probably one of the most talented musicians I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

I’ve been listening to ANH only recently but he’s super dope!! Writing some super exciting stuff and has been doing some seriously great support slots lately.
