Hey guys wasssup? So it’s been a really long year for us all, we’ve screamed, we’ve danced, we’ve fallen to the ground in an emotional mess sobbing into our sweaters, but boy what a year!

It’s been a little while since we’ve done something so this year we thought we’d put on a show, enter stage left sempleLIVE.

That’s right the people that brought you an Instagram take-over by Paces’ Dog Chilli, and who constantly bring the tallest guy to every gig (often draped in a cape) are bringing you a fun little Sunday sesh to celebrate the year that was and kick it old school like it’s 1999.

So let’s do the roll call on the amazing local acts that we’re bringing to our party, shall we… A-Team Assemble!!!

Four bastard children bring you their street-smart music skills, derived from a life spent grafting and crafting. Starring smooth vocals by Janet Planet and Sugar Bones, this classified musical collab between Reggie Goodchild and Clarence McGuffie is your very own self-help book. Being confident has never looked sexier, or sounded sharper. Confidential, it’s a secret. Shhh.

BATTS is the project of Melbourne based Tanya Batt. BATTS has grown quite a name for herself with her melodic husky tones and inquisitive production which has landed her name on the lips on bloggers at home and internationally. A Melbourne native BATTS knows how to bring style and grace to her live show, and is one artist that you need on your must see list.

Huntly are creating the sounds of the future. Formed by three friends living in Melbourne, Huntly delivers earnest lyricism merged with heart-stopping rhythms; a river of analog and electronic dreams that will evoke and inspire.

Eilish Gilligan is a songwriter and feelings-feeler from Melbourne. Her latest single, ‘Here’, was mixed in collaboration with Becki Whitton (Aphir), Max Dowling and Lewis Coleman.

In her exploration of different beats and learning how to manipulate vocal tracks, Melbourne’s Lisa Spencer became Aeora. Drawing together experiences as a teenager, where Spencer focused on country singing techniques, and the admiration of strong female vocalists, Aeora delved deeper into her bedroom production techniques.

Delivering eggy beats straight to your earholes! Yollks is 21 year old producer/singer Elle Tayla from Melbourne. Her debut single is dropping Wednesday 19th (we’ve heard a sneak preview) and we think it’ll get everyone up and going to kick off our Sunday sesh.

Joining the killer line up of live acts on the day will be DJ sets from RARA_4D_FL4, Brother Samuel, Yung Herc, Dank Ocean and Semplesize DJS…. that’s right, being the ego maniacs that we are we will be making out DJ debut at sempleLIVE…. so you know you want to come along just to see us flail behind the decks. Tickets are on sale now and we hope to see you all down at The Gaso on the 18th of December for some fun, fun, fun, in the summer sun.
